Austin Barnes Starts Behind The Plate Tuesday, Kyle Farmer At Third
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes will get the start on Tuesday against lefty Dillon Peters and the Marlins and bat sixth. Kyle Farmer will start at third and bat eighth. Barnes is 4-for-12 against lefties this year and even though Yasmani Grandal is the team's best hitter, he needs a day off from time to time. Farmer isn't spectacular against lefties, but Max Muncy, who was drawing regular starts at third, can't hit them at all. This just looks like a day off for the regulars against a weaker opponent.
