Atlanta Expects Max Fried Back For Game 1 Of Playoffs
4 years agoAtlanta Braves left-handed pitcher Max Fried (ankle) was forced to depart from his start Wednesday after just one inning due to a tweaked ankle. But manager Brian Snitker said Thursday that the club anticipates having Fried back for the opening game of the 2020 postseason next Wednesday. It was a tremendous regular season for Fried, who went 7-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 11 starts, yielding just two home runs, both of which came in his only inning of work Wednesday. Depending on the opponent, he should be a strong DFS selection once the postseason opens so long as he has a clean bill of health.
