Astros Acquire Kendall Graveman From White Sox
1 year agoThe Houston Astros are in agreement on a deal with the Chicago White Sox on Friday that will send right-handed reliever Kendall Graveman to the Astros, according to sources. It's unclear what the Astros are sending the White Sox in return. Graveman, who had been serving as Chicago's closer with Liam Hendriks (elbow) on the injured list, will return to Houston after spending part of the 2021 season with the team. The 32-year-old has eight saves on the year and a decent 3.48 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched in 2023, but he'll be losing fantasy value with the move into a setup role in Houston in front of closer Ryan Pressly. Back in Chicago, Keynan Middleton is likely to see save chances now, at least until Hendriks returns from the IL.
