Asdrubal Cabrera’s Big Double Pads Lead
6 years agoCarrying a 1-0 lead for most of Tuesday night’s game in the desert, the Philadelphia Phillies padded their lead against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth inning. Following a bunt that resulted in a run scored, recently-acquired Asdrubal Cabrera had the biggest hit of the game. The 32-year-old, who’s fresh off a pair of home runs, including a game-winner in Philadelphia’s sweep of the Marlins, drilled a double with the bases loaded. Two runs scored, while the third runner reached third, eventually scoring as well. Cabrera is hitting .333 this month, his first full month with the Phillies, as the club continues their push for the postseason.
