1 year agoThe Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder Seth Brown (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned infielder Jordan Diaz to Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Brown is starting in right field and is hitting cleanup in his first game back on Monday night against right-hander Luis Castillo and the Seattle Mariners. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter has played in only eight games this year due to his left-oblique strain, but he's now back in the outfield picture for the A's moving forward. Before the injury, Brown had gone 6-for-30 (.200) with two doubles, a home run, two RBI, one steal and two runs scored in 32 plate appearances. He will once again be an option for outfield depth for fantasy managers in deep-mixed and AL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
