A's Discussing Contract Extension With Khris Davis
6 years agoOakland Athletics general manager David Forst said the team continues to talk to outfielder Khris Davis about a long-term contract extension, but nothing is imminent as they focus on needs in the offseason. Despite playing half his games in one of the most pitcher-friendly stadiums in baseball, Davis is one of the premiere power hitters in the game. He'll turn 31 soon but he has eclipsed the 40-homer mark, including a career-high 48 long balls last season, in each of the last three years. He's also had at least 102 RBI in each of the last three years. He'll come off the board very early in fantasy drafts. Somehow Davis has managed to hit exactly .247 in each of the last four years. There's something to be said for his consistency.
