Artem Zub Could Return Wednesday Versus Maple Leafs
1 year agoOttawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub (concussion) could return to the lineup when the club visits the rival Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. Zub took a puck to the head during Ottawa's 6-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Oct. 18 but practiced in a regular jersey alongside Jake Sanderson on Monday morning. "Obviously, we'll wait to see after if everything's good, but he looked really good to me out there and it looks like he's ready to go," Senators head coach D.J. Smith said on Monday. The 28-year-old has appeared in four games this season, tallying a goal and three points along with eight hits and nine blocked shots. With just 49 points in 185 career games, Zub remains off the fantasy radar but he has contributed a strong 383 hits and 270 blocked shots in that time, as well.
