Aroldis Chapman's Suspension Reduced
4 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman's suspension for throwing near the head of Tampa Bay Rays infielder Mike Brosseau was reduced from three games to two games on Thursday after Chapman appealed the decision. Chapman will serve the suspension at the beginning of the 2021 season. The flame-throwing left-hander struck Brosseau out in the at-bat and Brosseau exchanged words with a Yankees player as he walked toward New York's dugout. Brosseau then homered off Chapman in the eighth inning of Tampa Bay's 2-1 victory in Game 5 of the American League Division Series. The two-game suspension won't negatively affect Chapman's fantasy value as one of the best closers in the game on one of the best teams in baseball.
