Aroldis Chapman Walks Tightrope Again In Save
5 years agoWhile the New York Yankees emerged with a victory over the Diamondbacks Wednesday afternoon, closer Aroldis Chapman's performance once again raised worries. While he's recorded five saves since the All-Star break, the 31-year-old has allowed seven runs on six hits and eight walks in that span. Chapman's ERA has risen over a full run from 1.77 to 2.81. While he still has 27 saves, his recent performances have been worrying, especially as the Yankees have had one of their worst weeks of the season. With no acquisitions before the deadline, this will be the team the Yankees hope to win a championship with, and Chapman will need to improve.
