Aroldis Chapman Picks Up Sixth Save
4 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman continued his excellent ninth-inning work in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Tigers. Chapman picked up his sixth save in another quick frame of work, striking out a pair of Tigers in the process. The hard-throwing southpaw has impressively struck out two or more batters in nine of his 10 appearances this season and has only surrendered two hits in 10 innings pitched. With a scheduled off-day coming up on Monday, Chapman will get some rest after pitching two straight days and should be good to go if a save chance presents itself in Tuesday's series opener against Houston.
