2 years agoNew York Yankees left-handed reliever Aroldis Chapman wasn't included on the roster for the American League Division Series against the Cleveland Guardians this week. Chapman missed a workout and had "not an acceptable excuse," according to skipper Aaron Boone. The 34-year-old veteran southpaw actually finished off the regular season in great form, but the Yankees are sending a message to him as they kick off their postseason action this week. Without Chapman in the fold, relievers Jonathan Loaisiga, Clarke Schmidt, Scott Effross, Lou Trivino and Lucas Luetge will be asked to step up in high-leverage spots out of the bullpen.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
