Aroldis Chapman Bounces Back To Earn 13th Save
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman notched his 13th save in a rebound performance Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Chapman had allowed five runs to cross the plate, four earned, in his last two appearances combined, though he worked a scoreless ninth on 14 pitches to lock down the victory for New York. Despite the minor bumps in the road, Chapman still owns a 1.85 ERA and 0.95 WHIP to go along with a career-high 46.7 percent strikeout rate. He should still be looked at as one of the top fantasy closers, but managers should continue to monitor his underlying metrics moving forward following those couple of down performances.
