Aroldis Chapman Allows A Run, Earns Save
7 years agoMaking his second appearance in as many games to kick off the 2018 season, New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman faced his first save situation tonight in Toronto. With the Yankees holding a 4-1 lead, Chapman struck out the first two batters, seemingly on the verge of an uneventful appearance. Then, however, he allowed a pair of doubles, scoring a run and cutting the lead to two. Chapman remained composed, however, striking out the final batter to complete a three-strikeout inning and earn the save. While the run scored may not look neat, Chapman had a successful inning, with his strikeout stuff at top level.
