5 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Ariel Jurado cruised through his outing in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over the Angels. Jurado entered the game in the second inning after opener Emmanuel Clase and went on to pitch six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out one. Jurado had gone out for the first inning in his previous eight appearances, but was having little success. He'd earned losses in his previous four outings in August. Jurado has an uninspiring 15.2% strikeout rate on the year and ranks amongst the bottom 10% of the league in hard-hit rate (42.9%). He's a risky streaming option going forward and is best left on waivers.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
