2 years agoAric Almirola will start alongside Denny Hamlin, the pole-sitter, in the front row when the green flag drops at the GEICO 500. Almirola raced around the Talladega Superspeedway at 180.642 mph to earn the second starting position for Sunday's race. Over the last 16 races at superspeedways, Almirola has finished in the top 20 half of the time. Over that time span, he has only scored two top-five finishes. He could lead some laps if he can get ahead of Hamlin, but he is a risky play in your DFS lineups this weekend.--Eric DeWilde
