2 years agoAric Almirola was fairly consistent in practice much like William Byron. The results were nearly similar too in qualifying. Almirola finished with a best lap of exactly 13.6 seconds. That qualified the Ford racer fifth for Sunday's heats. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver will be behind Justin Haley for Heat 1 at the Coliseum. These Busch Light heats will be 25 laps in length and go fast (little over six minutes). Avoiding the longer last-chance (50 lap) qualifying is paramount.
