Archie Bradley Expected To Close In 2019
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo appears to be leaning toward using relief pitcher Archie Bradley as the team's closer next season. The D-backs preferred to use Bradley as more of a setup man in 2018, although he did close out three games to go along with a 3.64 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 75 K's in 71 2/3 innings. Yoshihisa Hirano is another option and he finished the year as the ninth-inning man, but Bradley is the team's most dominant reliever and deserves ninth-inning duties. His fantasy value will increase as a result, but his leash probably won't be all that long.
