Archie Bradley Activated From Injured List Tuesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Archie Bradley (oblique) was activated from the injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Marlins. Ronald Torreyes (COVID) was also activated. Didi Gregorius (elbow) and Scott Kingery (head) were placed on the IL as corresponding moves. Bradley has only thrown three innings across four appearances since signing in Philadelphia this offseason. He pitched to a 2.95 ERA supported by a 2.13 FIP last season and is a welcome addition to a Philly bullpen that has struggled. Hector Neris is still in line for closer duties, but Bradley and could pick up the occasional save while racking up plenty of holds making him an attractive fantasy option in saves-plus-holds formats.

Archie Bradley Could Return In June
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Archie Bradley (abdominal) was placed on the injured list last Saturday with a left abdominal strain after tossing a scoreless inning on Friday against the Chicago White Sox. He suffered a similar injury last year that kept him out for a month, and he's expected to miss roughly the same amount of time with this injury. With that said, Bradley could possibly return in early June. The 29-year-old right-hander has allowed seven earned runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out seven in 8 2/3 innings so far this year, and he also has picked up one save in eight appearances. With Bradley out for the next month, Aaron Loup and Mike Mayers are in line for more setup work out of the bullpen.

Archie Bradley Lands On The 10-Day Injured List
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher Archie Bradley (abdomen) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left abdominal strain on Saturday. He's racked up one save and three holds while sporting a 7.27 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and seven strikeouts over 8 2/3 innings in 2022. The 29-year-old will miss at least the next ten days due to his abdominal injury. Aaron Loup should see an increase of setup duties while Bradley is sidelined and is worth rostering in leagues that reward the category saves and holds. Loup owns a 0.84 ERA, 0.38 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts across 10 2/3 innings in 2022.

Archie Bradley Earns First Save
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Archie Bradley recorded his first save of the season on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles. Jimmy Herget started pitching in the ninth inning, but was pulled after allowing a leadoff hit. Bradley came in and struck out Anthony Santander then got Ryan Mountcastle to ground into a double play. It was a nice outing by the veteran reliever who has struggled early in the season. He has a 9.45 ERA over his first 6 2/3 innings pitched right now. That being said, fantasy managers shouldn't jump to grab Bradley after one solid outing.
