Anzejs Pasecniks Flirts With Double-Double Saturday Night
5 years agoWashington Wizards center Anzejs Pasecniks was very close to his first career double-double on Saturday, finishing a win against Denver with 13 points and eight rebounds. The big Latvian ended up with a plus-26 rating in 22 minutes off the bench, shooting 6-for-8 from the field and producing one block at the other end of the court. Pasecniks entered the rotation in the middle of December, and he's gone a decent job as a rookie big, averaging 7.8 points and 6.5 rebounds for the season in 20.8 minutes of action. He faces a difficult challenge against Boston next, as the Celtics own the third-best defensive rating in the league with 104.0 and they rebound the ball pretty well.
