Antonio Gibson Undergoes Foot Surgery
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson underwent surgery Thursday to repair a fracture to his foot. Gibson has played with the injury for several weeks, but with the Commanders officially out of playoff contention, the team decided to go with the procedure. Gibson finishes the season with 546 rushing yards, 353 receiving yards, and five total touchdowns before being placed on Injured Reserve. If there's a new staff in town for the Commanders next season, he could see a role change. If Ron Rivera remains the head coach, he'll likely be stuck in a pure committee backfield with Brian Robinson.
