Antonio Gibson Sees Plenty Of Pass-Game Usage In Week 8
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson had seven carries for 19 yards along with seven receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Despite a mediocre day on the ground, the 24-year-old had a solid day through the air. Ever since Taylor Heinicke has taken over at quarterback, Gibson has been utilized in a fashion that fans have been begging for ever since he was drafted. To put it simply, when the Commanders utilize the third-year back in the passing game, their offense benefits. With rookie running back Brian Robinson struggling on the ground, Gibson should be in line to reclaim his role and possibly expand upon it as he appears to be supplanting J.D. McKissic as Washington's receiving back. He's an interesting buy candidate heading into Week 9.
