Antonio Gibson Lacks Usage But Shows Burst
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson had five carries for 35 yards along with three receptions for 18 yards in Thursday's win against the Chicago Bears. The third-year back has officially lost his role in this offense. With Brian Robinson returning to action, Gibson was utilized sparsely in Week 6. However, through his eight total opportunities, the 24-year-old seemed to have a lot more burst than Robinson. Unfortunately, burst doesn't translate to fantasy points. For fantasy managers holding onto him, the only hope is for some random change in Washington's game plan, or for another team to trade for Gibson. As of now, he's a roster clogger and a possible drop candidate.
