Antonio Gibson Could Be In For A Rough Game Script
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson might be in line for a disappointing performance in Week 3. The 24-year-old has been seeing the majority of Washington's backfield opportunities with Brian Robinson still in recovery, and that trend should continue in their matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the concerning aspect of this matchup is the prolific Eagles offense that might put the Commanders behind early. If the Eagles get out to an early lead, Gibson's opportunities will likely be capped as Washington will consistently play from behind in a negative game script. Gibson should still be started as a low-end RB2, but this could easily be a week where managers see more J.D. McKissic than usual.
