Antonio Gates, Sterling Sharpe Headline 2025 Hall Of Fame Class
3 mins agoTight end Antonio Gates, wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, defensive end Jared Allen and cornerback Eric Allen were elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday night as part of the 2025 class. Gates played 14 of his 16 NFL seasons for with the San Diego Chargers before the franchise moved to L.A. for his final two seasons, and he racked up an impressive 11,841 yards and 116 touchdowns while making eight Pro Bowls and being named a first-team All-Pro three times. Sharpe made the HOF despite having his career cut short by a neck injury, but he still led the NFL in catches three times in his seven seasons and finished with 8,134 yards and 65 TDs for the Packers. Jared Allen led the NFL in sacks twice and finished with 136 sacks with four times. Eric Allen was a six-time Pro Bowler and had 54 career interceptions in 14 years with the Eagles, Raiders and Saints.
