1 month agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is getting a big boost on Sunday for the Week 6 tilt against the division-rival New Orleans Saints with safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) being officially active. Safety Jordan Whitehead (groin), who was also listed as questionable like Winfield, is also active. Winfield, who is a must-start in fantasy IDP leagues when active, will be returning to action for the first time since Week 1 when he sprained his foot. The Buccaneers defense/special teams unit is absolutely in play this Sunday as a streaming option in fantasy with quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) out and rookie Spencer Rattler making his first career start. The 26-year-old Winfield is one of the best safeties in the NFL and was an All-Pro in 2023 after recording a career-high 122 tackles (76 solo) and a career-high six sacks.
