Anthony Volpe Makes Opening Day Roster
2 years agoBrandon Kuty of The Athletic has reported that shortstop prospect Anthony Volpe has made the New York Yankees. Volpe, 21, was red-hot this spring and has earned the starting shortstop job over fellow prospect Oswald Peraza. Volpe hit .314 with three homers, five RBI and five stolen bases. Offering exciting power and speed in one of the better lineups in the league, Volpe is an exciting piece for managers in all formats. The news will surely rise his ADP and he should be rostered in all formats. Peraza should be expected to get everyday at-bats in Triple-A for now.
