Toronto Blue Jays outfielder/designated hitter
Anthony Santander (shoulder) missed the three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners over the weekend after his shoulder "felt cranky" after falling into the right-field seats against the Los Angeles Angels late last week. However, manager John Schneider said that Santander should be good for Tuesday's series opener against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. The 30-year-old was swinging the bat a bit better prior to his minor shoulder injury last Thursday, but fantasy managers are still waiting for more. The Venezuelan switch-hitting outfielder has so far been a disappointment in his first year in Toronto, slashing .196/.275/.336 with a .611 OPS, five home runs, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored in his 143 at-bats. Check back on Tuesday before throwing Santander back into your starting fantasy lineups.

Anthony Santander (shoulder) remains out of the starting nine on Sunday when the Blue Jays conclude their series against the Seattle Mariners. Santander was unable to start on Saturday as well. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Santander's status leading up to their next game on Tuesday evening against the Tampa Bay Rays. Before his injury, the 30-year-old had begun to find his swing as he had held a strong .250/.333/.500 slash line with a double, three long balls, and eight RBI across his past 10 games. Anthony Santander (shoulder) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Santander injured his shoulder during Thursday's game and as a result he'll miss his second straight game. It's worth noting that Santander could be available off the bench, which means his injury isn't too serious. Fantasy managers should consider Santander as day-to-day until further notice.
George Springer will take over as the designated hitter and bat third against right-hander
Logan Evans. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.

Anthony Santander is out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park.
George Springer is serving as the designated hitter and is batting cleanup, while
Jonatan Clase is starting in left field and is batting ninth against Mariners right-hander
Luis Castillo. Santander does have five home runs early on in his first season with the Blue Jays, but he's hitting under .200 with 36 strikeouts in 160 plate appearances after he was a first-time All-Star in 2024 in his final season with the Baltimore Orioles. The good news is Santander has swung the bat better so far in seven games in May, going 8-for-29 with a homer, double, four RBI, three runs scored, three walks and five strikeouts. Springer has hit .167 with a .417 OPS and one RBI in 12 career at-bats against Castillo, while Clase has never faced him.
