2 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed outfielder Anthony Santander on the restricted list ahead of Monday night's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. It is believed based on the timing of the move that Santander is not vaccinated against COVID-19, making him ineligible to play in Toronto. The Orioles have four games in Toronto before returning home to face the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday. Expect to see Santander back in action for Friday's game. The 27-year-old is slashing .238/.337/.421 with 11 home runs, 33 RBI and 28 runs over 59 games this year. The Orioles called up outfield prospect Kyle Stowers to fill Santander's roster spot and he will be starting in left field for his MLB debut on Monday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
