Anthony Rizzo Hits 250th Career Homer
3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a solo shot in Thursday's victory over Toronto. Rizzo's homer was the 250th of his career, a 368-foot shot that left his bat at 107.2 MPH. The veteran first baseman hasn't hit for much power in September, just three homers and a .396 slugging percentage, though he's remained a factor for fantasy, scoring 15 runs and driving in eight. Rizzo's excellent defense- and the injury to Luke Voit (knee)- ensure that he'll be a mainstay in the Yankee lineup down the stretch. He's a solid starting option at first base.
