Anthony Richardson Leads Two First-Half Scoring Drives For The Colts
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson completed 6-of-17 pass attempts for 78 yards while rushing five times for 38 yards while playing the entire first half with the rest of the team's starters in the preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. After starting the game with a three-and-out, he methodically moved the ball down the field for back-to-back scores. Richardson looked good in zone read and RPO schemes but struggled to drive the ball to intermediate throws. The former Florida Gator looked great running the ball and utilizing his escapability when the pocket collapsed. This performance was similar to his scouting profile; nevertheless, it's a good sign to see him as the starter utilizing top weapons. With an average ADP of QB15, Richardson remains a spike week draft pick preferred in best ball. Pairing him with one of the low-end QB1s in redraft would give your team a decent floor with breakout potential as the season progresses.
