Anthony Richardson Agrees To Rookie Deal With Colts
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was the last 2023 first-round offensive player to sign his rookie deal, but the two sides agreed to terms on Monday. Richardson will get a four-year, $33.99 million deal that includes a $21.72 million signing bonus. He will be paid 100% of the signing bonus up front. Now that his contract situation is settled, he'll be tasked with developing into an adequate NFL passer. The 21-year-old has off-the-charts athleticism, but he has a lack of experience and flawed mechanics as he enters the NFL. That said, Gardner Minshew might begin the season as the Colts' starter. When Richardson is promoted to QB1, he'll have immediate upside in fantasy football as a potential top-five rushing signal-caller.
