Anthony Rendon Likely Back For Next Homestand
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) will likely come off the injured list for the club's next homestand, which will begin on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs. The former MVP candidate has been on the IL since the middle of May after suffering a groin strain during a game on May 13. Before going down, Rendon was hitting .301 with 19 runs, 20 RBI, and two stolen bases, but with just one long ball over 30 games. It looks like the 25 home run power isn't there anymore, but the 32-year-old can still provide decent production in the batting average and counting stats departments.
