1 year agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (shin) and outfielder Jo Adell (oblique) have been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 11. Rendon has been sidelined since July 4 due to a bruised right shin. The organization was hopeful he'd be ready after the All-Star break, but sadly that wasn't the case. Luis Rengifo is handling third base in his absence on Friday. Adell suffered a left-oblique strain during Saturday's game and missed Sunday's game because of it. The team has not given a timetable for Adell's return to the field. In a corresponding move, outfielder/infielder Trey Cabbage has been recalled to the active roster. The Angels also outrighted infielder David Fletcher to Triple-A Salt Lake.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
