Anthony Rendon Comes Up Huge To Force Game 7
5 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and five runs batted in as the Nationals beat the Astros 7-2 in Game 6 of the World Series. With their backs against the wall, Rendon got Washington on the board in the first inning with an RBI single. The slugger later took the Astros Will Harris deep in the seventh inning and then added an opposite-field, two-run double to cap off a huge night. Rendon is now slugging .542 in the series with seven runs batted in. It has been a fantastic postseason for the impending free agent, who is now slashing .339/.429/.571 with two home runs, seven doubles, 10 runs scored and 14 runs batted in through 17 playoff games. Rendon will be a major offensive threat in Wednesday's all-important Game 7 in Houston.
