Anthony Nelson Re-Signs With Buccaneers For Two Years
1 min agoPass-rusher Anthony Nelson re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday for two years and $10 million, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Nelson's new deal can max out at $12 million through incentives. Nelson was originally drafted by the Buccaneers in the fourth round (107th overall) in 2019 out of Iowa, and he's spent all six of his NFL seasons in Tampa. The 28-year-old linebacker will return to head coach Todd Bowle's defense for another two years after recording 40 total tackles (25 solo) for the second straight season. He added four sacks, six tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games (six starts). Because Nelson isn't an every-down linebacker, he's off the fantasy radar, but he's been a key player for the Bucs over the years and has 17.5 sacks since 2021.
