Anthony Miller Slated For Slot Role
6 years agoChicago Bears rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller, the team's second-round draft pick, is earmarked to be a slot receiver in new head coach Matt Nagy's offense and is expected to contribute immediately. Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel will be the top two receivers, and Trey Burton was brought in as a free agent to help the aerial game as well. Miller could also be in the mix for a role as a returner on special teams, but the team drafted him mainly to help the passing game. The Bears limited Miller in rookie minicamp because of a foot fracture he suffered in his final collegiate game, but he has been fully healed for months. There is opportunity for Miller in his rookie season, which could make him a late-round sleeper in deeper leagues, but there still might not be enough targets to go around to make him a consistent fantasy producer.
