Anthony Edwards Scores 20-Plus Points For Third Straight Game
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Edwards had his third straight game with 20-plus points in a loss to the Suns. Edwards dropped 24 points with five rebounds, three steals and two triples in 35 minutes. The rookie has filled the void left by the absence of Malik Beasley, as he's taken 20-plus shots in each of the last three games. Edwards is averaging 22 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 triples, 2.3 triples and 2.0 triples per game on 37.5/28.5/83.3 percent shooting splits in that span. The shooting numbers have been rocky, but that's to be expected for a rookie. Edwards is seeing an elite-level workload right now ahead of a favorable matchup with the Hornets, a team that allowed him to score 21 points against them earlier this month.
