Anthony Edwards Drops Season-High 26 Points
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves rookie shooting guard Anthony Edwards had one of the best games of his young career Thursday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. Edwards shot 9-for-21 from the field and dropped a season-high 26 points in the game. He hit three threes and also added four rebounds and two steals with four turnovers. Edwards played over 30 minutes for the first time this season on Thursday. With Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) and Josh Okogie (hamstring) sidelined, Edwards was able to see more opportunities on the offensive end and he took advantage. This could be the sign of things to come for the 2020 1st overall pick. His next game will be on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. Towns will likely remain out on Saturday, but Okogie could return, which might hurt Edwards' minutes just a little.
