Anthony Duclair Returns Versus Chicago
4 years agoFlorida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair (lower body) has been removed from Injured Reserve, and he's set to rejoin the lineup for Saturday's clash with Chicago. Duclair, who has 10 points for the season in 19 games, hasn't played since Feb. 27. He joins a hot team as Florida has won four of the last five games, scoring at least four goals in each of the victories. Duclair has two points in two games against the Blackhawks this season. Florida also gets defenseman Anton Stralman (lower body) back into the lineup with the Swedish blueliner set to skate in his first game since March 4. He's notched eight points in 22 games this season.

Anthony Duclair Out With An illness
1 month agoNew York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (illness) is expected to come out of the lineup on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was unable to skate Saturday morning due to an illness, and Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News reports that Pierre Engvall will replace Duclair in the lineup against Tampa Bay. Duclair has been limited to four goals and eight points in 22 games this season, so he might benefit from having some time off. The season hasn't gone well for Engvall either, as the Swedish forward has posted seven points (three goals, four assists) in 33 contests.

Anthony Duclair Ruled Out For 4-6 Weeks
5 months agoNew York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (leg) will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. He suffered a leg injury in a game against Montreal last weekend. The 29-year-old has potted two goals with one assist in his first five appearances for the Islanders. Simon Holmstrom has been promoted to Duclair's spot on the first line. Holmstrom's work in 2024-25 includes two assists and three shots on goal in six games. The team needs much more from him and the rest of the frontline, as the Islanders have already been shut out three times this season.

According to Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello, Duclair is dealing with a long-term injury but is expected to return this season. The 29-year-old suffered a leg injury in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win against Montreal. Duclair has tallied two goals and three points in his first five appearances with the Islanders. Lamoriello expects to know a more specific timeline for his return on Tuesday. Simon Holmstrom took over from Duclair on the top line at the weekend and also practiced in the spot on Monday. Meanwhile, Brock Nelson is expected to replace Duclair on the first power-play unit.

He was injured in the third period and couldn't put any weight on his right leg. Duclair entered Saturday's action with two goals and three points on his name through four games this season. He's a new top-line piece of the Islanders, having joined on a four-year, $14 million deal in the summer. Simon Holmstrom closed out Saturday's game on the first line. He could remain in the role for now if Duclair needs time to heal. The Islanders return to action on Tuesday versus Detroit.
