Anthony Davis' Second-Half Fantasy Outlook
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis heads into the All-Star break as one of the league's most efficient performers. Davis is averaging 27.4 points per game, good for third in the league behind Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Houston Rockets guard James Harden. He is also ranked in the top 10 in rebounding and is also averaging 52.2 fantasy points per game in standard formats. With the season-ending injury to forward/center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles), Davis has seen a 5 percent increase in his usage rate, a 5.5 percent increase in his assist percentage and a 2.6 percent increase in his rebounding percentage. Though the Pelicans have the eighth toughest schedule in the upcoming second half of the season with notable matchups against the Rockets, Warriors, Celtics and Cavs, the All-Star shouldn't lose much ground in the fantasy rankings, if at all, as long as he can remain healthy, which has been an issue for him in the past.
