Anthony Davis Dealing With Stress Injury In Right Foot
2 years agoThe timeline for a return to action for Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) appears to have been extended. The team announced Friday that Davis is dealing with a stress injury in his right foot and will be sidelined indefinitely due to the ailment. The eight-time All-Star was reportedly expected to miss at least one month of action, but there is hope that resting the injury will allow a quicker return to the court. Davis was amidst a dominant campaign, averaging 27.4 points and a career-high 12.1 rebounds per game, all while shooting 59.4 percent overall and adding 2.1 blocks each night. Thomas Bryant has stepped in as the Lakers' center and can now safely be added in all-sized formats, as he figures to get an extended look in the frontcourt.
