Anthony Bass To See Early Save Opportunities
4 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Anthony Bass will get the ball with the game on the line — at least early on in 2021. The veteran journeyman hurler had a strong spring with a K-BB of 8-3 in 8.1 innings and he allowed just two runs (2.16 ERA). Bass spent last season with the Toronto Blue Jays and saved seven games with three holds in 26 games. He had a solid-but-unspectacular K-BB of 21-9 in 25.2 innings and isn't a great source of strikeouts. If Bass stumbles, Yimi Garcia could get the next opportunity to save games for Miami. With a talented, young rotation, this club could be on the rise in 2021 which means save opportunities could become more abundant if the club can score enough runs.
