Another Scoreless Outing For Aaron Loup On Friday
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Aaron Loup pitched a clean inning in the Mets 3-2 loss to the Dodgers on Friday, striking out one batter. It was Loup's twentieth straight appearance in which he did not allow an earned run and he has allowed only one earned run since May 21. Loup has become one of the Mets most consistent and reliable performers out of the bullpen in 2021. On the season, Loup owns a microscopic 1.12 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts with 13 holds over 40 1/3 innings pitched in 48 games. Loup should be firmly on the radar of fantasy managers who play in leagues that reward holds if he is, somehow, still available on waiver wires. He can help with ratios and strikeouts while accumulating holds through the rest of the 2021 season.
