7 years agoFollowing Sunday's game, the Los Angeles Angels optioned right-hander Jaime Barria back to Triple-A Salt Lake. Barria looked great in his first start back on April 11, but struggled in this one. He only lasted two innings, giving up two runs on five hits with one walk and one strikeout. A 49-pitch first inning was his undoing, even though he did not give up a run. Expect Barria to get more looks as the season goes on, especially while Matt Shoemaker (forearm) is out. He's a desperation streaming option, at best, though.--patton
