Angels Designate Kolton Ingram For Assignment
10 months agoThe Los Angeles Angels designated reliever Kolton Ingram for assignment on Monday to make room for outfielder Aaron Hicks on the 40-man roster. Ingram, a 27-year-old left-hander, made his major-league debut in 2023 for the Angels and allowed seven runs (five earned) on eight hits (two homers allowed) while walking five and striking out seven in only 5 1/3 relief innings pitched. On the farm between Double-A Rocket City and Triple-A Salt Lake before his first big-league call-up, he faired better with a 2.95 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 34 walks and 77 strikeouts in 61 innings over 45 appearances out of the bullpen. If Ingram isn't picked up by another team on waivers, he could return to the Halos as left-handed relief depth with spring training right around the corner.
