Anfernee Simons Drops Season-High 17 Points
5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard Anfernee Simons had a season-high 17 points on Thursday night. In the fourth quarter of his team's 107-101 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Simons went 5-for-11 from the field, including three three-pointers. It was a season high in minutes for Simons, who has been restricted to a backup role behind Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum in the Blazers offense. For fantasy purposes, Simons is a good asset in the scoring department but contributes little else in the box score. Home games against the Nets and the Hawks to close out Week 3 will let fantasy managers see if this game earns Simons more minutes in Portland's rotation.
