Andy Dalton To Start Against Giants
3 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy confirmed on Friday that quarterback Andy Dalton will start in Week 17 against the New York Giants. With rookie Justin Fields (ankle) listed as questionable, Nick Foles, who started and got the win over the Seattle Seahawks last week, will be Dalton's backup. The Bears want Fields fully healthy before he returns to the field, which could come in a meaningless Week 18 game. Dalton has been predictably mediocre in four starts for the Bears this year, and he's thrown six touchdowns and six interceptions with an ugly 38.1 QBR in 153 passing attempts. Even against a very beatable Giants defense, the Red Rifle will be a low-end QB2 for those in superflex leagues in a low-volume Bears passing attack.
