Andy Dalton To Get First-Team Reps
2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton will get first-team reps at OTAs, according to head coach Frank Reich. The Panthers appear to be committed to letting Bryce Young develop behind a veteran quarterback. It's not often that the No. 1 overall pick doesn't start Week 1, but the Panthers don't want to rush anything. Panthers GM Scott Fitterer said there is no timetable for Young to start, so they plan to wait it out. Dalton signed a two-year, $11 million deal with Carolina over the offseason. The expectation is that Young is going to start before the 2023 season is over, but the Panthers aren't going to rush him.
