Andy Dalton Has Chance To Right Ship Against Commanders
1 month agoSince his 300-yard, three-touchdown season debut in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton has returned to form in the last three weeks, averaging less than 200 hundred yards per game with more turnovers than touchdowns. Dalton does pull a favorable matchup in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders, who allow 18.46 fantasy points per game, which is in the bottom five in the league. However, Dalton's favorite target, Diontae Johnson (ankle, hamstring, ribs), the third most targeted receiver in the league, is questionable and has been limited in practice this week. Johnson will be available and is expected to play in Week 7. Regardless, going up against the Jayden Daniels-led Commanders—who have scored fewer than 30 points just once this season—should give Dalton plenty of opportunities to air it out. He will be a lower-end QB2 play again and more of an option in superflex leagues, but there's hope we could see a more productive outing from the Red Rifle in this Week 7 matchup.
