Andy Dalton Believed To Have Avoided ACL Injury
3 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton (knee) missed a lot of time in his game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but is believed to have not suffered an ACL injury. Quarterback Justin Fields replaced Dalton following his injury and led the Bears to a win, but was certainly not flawless. If Dalton misses time, as long as Fields isn't terrible, it would be difficult to start the veteran over the No. 10 overall pick. The Bears have playoff hopes, but if they're in position to make a playoff-push when the former Bengal returns, Fields will have most likely played well. In an alternate scenario, when Dalton's healthy to return, Fields could have played terribly but the Bears would probably be out of the hunt, in which case, they may want to see what the rookie is capable of. Though Dalton's season may not be over due to injury, it seems unlikely that he will do much for the rest of the season. Try to hold Dalton in Superflex leagues, but if a drop is necessary, he is cuttable.
